without ever mentioning the word "resolution" me and luís are trying to go to a museum or exhibition everytime we are together (museums have free entry every sunday morning). so since i arrived - already a month ago - we've been to: "ethnology museum", lisbon. the exhibition was about the portuguese clay-making tradition. it was really small and a bit boring, however, we were glued to two televisions that were showing old people working with both light and dark clay. it is very yummy just to look at it, and after we really wanted to put our hands in some claaaay. "museu da imagem", braga. we've seen a photo exhibition called "the american journey" by afonso malato de sousa. after it we were like two geeks on the streets with our new cameras. the photos were beautiful but what we admired the most was the nerve some photographers have to directly look at people and just take a photo. "MUDE", lisboa. this is the museum of design and fashion. it has some rather nice dresses and funny furniture. however, the temporary exhibitions are quite big and nice. i've enjoyed the interactive one, a collaboration with the london orchestra. "museu colecção berardo", lisboa. this week we went to see this exhibition about the portuguese comics/cartoons. it was really nice and i was surprised at how many good artists there are, most of them i have never heard of! there were old artists as well, with their original works exhibited. it was amazing to see the real paper with the real drawings. nice nice!
