a pitch is this: imagine you're with the owner of the company where you're sure it's your dream job, your in the same lift as him and you only have the journey to make him listen to you and be interested in you. it's your competences in very limited time.
if you don't, it really felt like an x-factor casting:
- 300 people were selected out of 1000
- these 300 during two days made a 2 min pitch to a three member juri, while they were filmed.
- the pitch should be creative and innovative, and not a mere reproduction of our CV.
i spent the previous day struggling to find something different, so i remebered this:
so during two minutes i emptied my bag in front of the juri, saying why this and that.
the feedback:
the feedback was nice, although unexpected. they said it was obvious i prepared the pitch and that was good, and that they saw in me a very creative person who would propably do nicely leading her own business. oh, and of course, they asked me why i never mentioned my psychology studies.
i was not selected to the next phase, where 40 participants will make a longer pitch to circa 50 companies' representatives. but i believe it was an important preparation, as it made think very seriously about what i am good at.
still, i continue without knowing it, enjoying so many things...this unemployment state deserves some attention, it's very interesting and moodswingy!
